Our flight got in about noon on the first day, which gave us several hours to explore Manhattan. The thing that makes New York so neat is all the beautiful old architecture in the middle of the metropolis. One of the most interesting architectural features I saw on my trip was during this inital exploration: this elaborate entrance to a small building's basement level.
