Next to the public library, Grand Central was my favorite spot I visited. I loved the architecture, the painted ceiling, and just the general feeling of hustle and bustle that pervaded the place. It also made me think of the opening scene in K-PAX, one of my favorite movies. I found out what I didn't know before, that the people moving around in the glass wall (not visible in this picture) are not people going to and from trains, but people in the Met Life building.

I chose this particular angle because it captures both the american flag (which there were many of up in the city), as well as the chandeliers and glittering windows that make the station look nothing like your usual terminal. I was so taken with the place that I paid the very pricy cost of a meal at the steakhouse which sits up on the higher level of the station, so I could have a meal and take in the view of the building's inside. It was worth every penny - even though the salmon was undercooked.
