I obviously got spoiled at NC State, used to libraries that are open 24-7. I kept thinking: "this is one of the most famous libraries in the world, and its closed Mondays?" But when I finally got the chance to go inside, it was well worth it. This building was one of my 2 favorites in the city. I could have spent hours photographing its beautiful architecture. If I'd had more time (and more memory in my camera!) I would have. Outside was equally beautiful, with a couple of my favorite views being this one in Bryant Park out back, and the elaborate carvings on the flagpoles nearby.
