Probably the biggest disappointment of my trip was that the Woolworth building was not allowing visitors inside. I had really been looking forward to seeing it. All I managed were a few tantalizing glances at the gilted ceilings. Towards the top of my list of (come on admit it, you have one too!) "Special things to ask for if I ever become important and influential" is to get to look at this building's lobby.

Still, I did manage a nice snapshot of it from across the street at the very pretty City Hall park. (Tweed Courthouse and City Hall were likewise not allowing tourist. :-( City Hall you couldn't even get near.)
